Which Roll Crusher Teeth Are Suitable for Coal Gangue?
Coal gangue crusher teeth should be selected for feed size, abrasiveness, impact loading and target product size. Review tooth profiles, material options and custom fit requirements.
Assess the feed before choosing the tooth
Coal gangue can vary in hardness, abrasiveness and size. The right tooth arrangement depends on the actual feed, crusher design and desired product, rather than on a single description of the material as medium-hard.
Record the largest feed size, typical size distribution, moisture, unwanted metal or other inclusions, required throughput and discharge specification. These details help distinguish a wear problem from a tooth-profile or machine-selection problem.
Choose a profile for the crushing stage
Large projecting teeth or broad tooth segments may be considered for coarse feed where the machine is designed to grip larger lumps. Ring-type or other profiles may suit finer duties, subject to the specific crusher design.
Tooth height, spacing, angle and the arrangement on the roll affect feed engagement and the product. Modular rings or replaceable segments can make maintenance more targeted where the original equipment uses that construction. They are not a retrofit assumption for every roll.
Balance wear resistance and toughness
Manganese steel grades can work harden under suitable impact loading. Alloy steels and high chromium wear materials provide other options, but their suitability depends on both abrasion and impact conditions.
A bimetallic design may combine a harder working region with a tougher support. Its service performance depends on the material specification, bonding quality, geometry and actual duty; it is not a guarantee against cracking or tooth loss.
Custom parts and fit verification
Red Apple Casting is the brand of Zhangjiakou Red Apple Machinery Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., established in 2006. The company supplies wear-resistant castings and can review custom part enquiries based on drawings or samples.
For roll teeth, provide the roll model, tooth or segment drawing, mounting dimensions, material grade and photographs of the wear pattern. Confirm any proposed profile or material change against the equipment design before ordering.
Use operating evidence to compare options
Compare replacement candidates under similar feed, loading and maintenance conditions. Track processed tonnage or operating hours together with wear measurements, rather than relying on an unsupported lifetime multiplier.
